Bulk Saliguard SP
Saliguard SP is a paraben-free, formaldehyde-free, water-soluble preservative system composed of Sodium benzoate and Potassium sorbate. It is designed for use in personal care and cosmetic formulations that require effective, mild preservation while supporting clean-label claims.

Mode of Action:
- Saliguard SP works by converting into its active acid forms (benzoic acid and sorbic acid) at lower pH levels. These active forms inhibit microbial growth by disrupting microbial cell membranes and metabolic activity.
Recommended Use Level:
- 0.5% – 1.5%, depending on formulation type and microbial risk
Effective pH Range:
- Best performance at pH 4.0 – 5.5
- Reduced efficacy above pH 5.5
