Oleic Acid
Oleic Acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid commonly derived from vegetable oils such as olive, sunflower, or canola oil. In cosmetic and personal care formulations, it functions as an emollient and skin-conditioning agent, helping to soften, smooth, and moisturise the skin by reinforcing the lipid barrier and reducing moisture loss. Oleic acid also improves spreadability and enhances the sensory feel of creams, lotions, soaps, balms, and hair care products. It is especially beneficial in formulations designed for dry, rough, or mature skin.
