Sodium Xylene Sulphonate (SX 40) is a liquid hydrotrope, which sets out to provide a convenient way for formulators to incorporate water insoluble compounds into their liquid formulations. SX 40 when added to your formulation acts as a solubiliser and can therefore aid in the incorporation of compounds that would otherwise be insoluble in water or not readily soluble.
