HOME-CARE Acetic Acid is a versatile organic acid widely used in household cleaning products for its ability to dissolve mineral deposits, remove soap scum, cut through grease, neutralize odours, and help control bacteria on hard surfaces. It is the active ingredient in vinegar and is commonly used in eco-friendly cleaning formulations, including descalers, surface cleaners, glass cleaners, and rinse aids.
Acetic acid (CH3COOH), also called ethanoic acid, the most important of the carboxylic acids. A dilute (approximately 5 or 10 percent by volume) solution of acetic acid produced by fermentation and oxidation of natural carbohydrates is called vinegar; a salt, ester, or acylal of acetic acid is called acetate.
